Six Hour Rainforest and Waterfall Hike
The storybook rainforest hike complete with a waterfall is what every guest dreams about. Imagine a trail covered with a green jungle canopy that stretches along a rolling streambed culminating at a waterfall pool. As you meander by terraced Taro fields that were once farmed by ancient Hawaiians you will experience mystical cascading waterfalls careening off canyon walls in the distance, exotic fruit trees and local history.
Hana Rainforest Hike
If you want an adventure to write home about, this is it! Hana is the most tropical area on Maui. We will pick you up with fresh ground coffee to sip along the way before we drive the “back road” through several different climate zones on our road trip to this tropical hiking location. You will hike under a dense tropical canopy, through a giant bamboo forest and past beautiful waterfalls as we make our way to your lunch site at the base of a 400+ foot waterfall that you can hardly fit in your camera viewfinder. Your knowledgeable guide will point out the exotic plants and fruits and local history of the area.
Scene I: The Hike:
We will start your day by hiking the Nakalele coastline. Nakalele is Maui’s northernmost point and West Maui’s youngest lava flow. We will hike along breathtaking sea cliffs and erupting blowholes into what feels like another planet. Bring plenty of film as turtles are a common sight and the views are amazing. We may even get to see a few whales, during the winter months!
Scene II: The Kayak:
A short van ride following lunch places us along the Kapalua coastline. We will have kayaks waiting in Kapalua Bay for a casual cruise along the clear blue waters of The West Maui Coast. Sea Turtles are common sights and dolphins may visit us, so be prepared for the unexpected!!
Waterfall Hike and Coral Garden Paddle Combo
This all-in-one tour is an incredible land and sea experience. Your adventure starts from Olowalu with a morning kayak excursion along Maui's majestic West Shore known for it's calm, clear waters and magnificent reefs. Guests enjoy some snorkel time in the Olowalu Marine Sanctuary where you will view a variety of marine life including Hawaiian Green Sea Turtles. After enjoying Maui's ocean beauty, your hike guide, an expert in Hawaiian culture and nature, will transport you to a lush wilderness valley where you will hike one mile along the stream through an isolated rainforest valley where you can swim under a 20-foot waterfall. This is a truly magical Maui experience. End the day with a delicious, complimentary lunch.
Begin your day with a scenic drive up to the summit of Haleakala in our comfortable, air-conditioned vans. Enjoy fresh ground coffee and a delicious continental breakfast, featuring fresh tropical fruit and muffins, while viewing the volcano - a perfect photo opportunity.
